Introduction
Each of us have different ways and means of self-expression. We have various types of artists, some paint, others dance, play musical instruments or sing, we have sculptors, architects, builders, horticulturists, authors, playwrights and numerous other avenues of self- expression. I have been blessed with the ability to express myself with words.

God has been the most powerful, motivating and inspiring influence in my life. There is no doubt in my mind that God has blessed me with this ability. I sincerely hope that this book of poetry will convey and emphasize the unmistakable impact that God has had on my life.
I can truly say God has definitely brought me a mighty long way! My life has much more of a positive quality to it because of His guidance.
I hope and pray when you read this book of poetry, it may inspire you in a positive manner and help you to draw closer to God!

About the Author
George L. Lashley, was born in Pembroke Bermuda. He was the only son of four children born to Katherine and George Lashley Sr. His three sisters are Sylvia, Marilyn and Patricia. His ability to write was discovered when he was asked to write an essay for a third- grade class homework assignment. When the essay was read by his teacher, she immediately took it to the Principal who insisted that he read it in front of the entire school assembly. That experience was somewhat embarrassing to him, not being used to so much attention. He continued to write but in a more subdued and secretive fashion. It was only after he began writing poetry of a spiritually uplifting nature, and began reading some of the poems during church services and other suitable occasions, did he, through the encouragement of others decided to publish any of his work.
